yes yes I realize that I haven’t posted in a while …and even with that you may have dropped by and found NOTHING but a blank page or even a ad for another company. However .. I assure you that I’m here.. I am alive and I am enjoying life.

For the fast update…

I have been going to Cardinals baseball games in St. Louis (amazing)

I have actually gone to a Casino.. and while I only won about 7 bucks my friend JH won 60 on the first quarter and ended up winning around 90 dollars for the night.

I went camping over Memorial Day weekend.. Yes CAMPING.. you know at a cabin in the woods in NATURE… while there we road 4-wheelers all day and drank and fished and just enjoyed being away from the technical world that we live in on a daily basis. BTW.. YES.. I REALLY DID THIS.. hard to believe yes but I DID IT!!

I bought a bike and go bike riding as much as I possibly can typically on the trail in town from one end to the other.. which is about 10 miles. I do not get the oppertunity to do this often but I do as much as I can.

Honestly there is just so much that has been going on and it will most likely bore everyone who reads this to death so with that.. the summary

I am happy, having a blast, enjoying life and really just getting out of the house and doing things all the time.

So this past week finally here in Missouri I experienced a bad winter storm. Now in terms of bad I have seen worse in Virginia, but I wasn’t expecting to be somewhere that apparently doesn’t know how to handle ice storms.

This past Monday we had a massive ice storm. It started sleeting around 10 am and just never stopped till around tuesday or wednesday. It just kept coming and no one was prepaired. Southeast Missouri State never closed classes down completely on monday but thankfully I didn’t have to work and didn’t have class during that time period.

By Monday night everything was frozen over completely. It was crazy, we decided late in the day to go to wal-mart for a few things and went out to experience the cold weather ended up getting my car stuck at the end of my road. Not overly too bad as Tuesdays I don’t have class most likely a good thing as my power went off Monday evening.

So it began… we did leave the house a few times .. okay well we left the house daily we needed to get out and we needed to see people and we needed to be warm. Why you ask..

My power went off Monday and came back on late late Thursday evening. I called the power company every day 2 times a day and everyday they advised us tomorrow.. tomorrow.. I’m sure by tomorrow…By my last phone call I was advised that because I’m not in a large neighborhood I wasn’t as important as others. At that point I had a mini-break down as it had finally gotten down to 40 degrees in my house.

For the good news.. The power is back on.. we survived.. we stayed warm… we stayed fed.. it was beautiful outside.. I do have pictures just not uploaded yet.. And … while school was never completely cancelled that I know of .. I did get a BBQ Grill today and shall be enjoying a nice meal sometime soon this evening.

Well the first snow of the season is here and I couldn’t be happier! Its actually sticking to the ground which is amazing!
